Meet Dr. Jade Woodall

‍Hi, I’m Dr. Jhade Woodall, a hand and plastic surgeon at Summit Orthopaedics. As a hand surgeon, I treat conditions from the elbow down. As a plastic surgeon, I manage complex wounds—from the scalp to the foot. Our goal at Summit is simple: get you back to what you love. What conditions do you treat “from the elbow down”?
Common issues include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tendon and nerve injuries, fractures, arthritis of the hand/wrist, De Quervain’s, ganglion cysts, ligament tears, and elbow problems like cubital tunnel syndrome.
What does the “plastic surgery” part cover?
We handle complex wounds and reconstruction—soft-tissue coverage, skin grafts/flaps, scar revision, and post-trauma wound care—from the scalp to the foot, including the upper extremity.
Do you try non-surgical care first?
Yes. When appropriate, we start with splinting/bracing, activity changes, hand therapy, medications, or image-guided injections. If symptoms persist or function is limited, we’ll discuss surgical options and expected recovery.
When should I see a hand specialist?
If pain, numbness/tingling, weakness, locking, swelling, or a wound limits daily activities—or symptoms last more than a couple of weeks—schedule an evaluation. Early diagnosis can prevent long-term problems.
